Myth 1 – I am in flow
New Age Myths Working with people on a daily basis, I come across a phenomenon that could be described as the wonderful new realizations about how the world works that arise in those who have recently awakened spiritually. I call these New Age myths. Although they contain a grain of esoteric truth, through careless use that truth can disappear altogether, only to be replaced by a strange new, preconceived understanding of the world. Myth 1 – I am in flow A glorified state in

I am on a journey
I am sitting alone in a dark forest. Not deep in the wilderness, though, but on the edge of an old farmstead, right beside an ancient sacred grove. The sun set a couple of hours ago. Even though it is the height of summer, the middle of the night is still dark. Only sounds from the fields and forest remain. The birds packed their songs away some time ago already. And yet, every now and then, something sweeps silently across the horizon with the soft rustle. So here I am. Alon

Within a human being, there is a natural need for change
I reflect on the direction of today’s society, where in one way or another all people operate for personal gain. But what is this personal gain that we today consider normal? Personal gain = my activity today that simplifies or enables my activity tomorrow. It sounds quite reasonable. Since a person’s physical eyes look at the physical world outside of themselves, it is natural that everyday action takes place in the context of the physical world — meaning that a person chang

Why are we unable to exist in peace?
The reason is that humans consider themselves the highest life form in our visible world. Today’s blind materialism — the mainstream religion — does not take into account that humans are a product of evolution. Evolution is not created by humans; evolution has created humans. Evolution means constant change, development — in other words, transformation. Yes, after every external war, there is a moment of peace. But lasting external peace can only arise after lasting inner pea

We must leave space for the dreams
The beginning of new year always feels like a time for dreaming — what do I want, what will the new year bring? Some dreams are big, others quite small, some are more like wishes that would be nice to see come true someday. I have been dreaming about one thing. And now, years later, I am holding it (him) in my hands. Along the way, I repeatedly had to answer the question: why do I need this (him)? And that was good! Even though at times it felt annoying. But it made me stalk

Overcoming doubts and fears
I can see doubts attacking me. Looking back in time, I cannot point to any major or extraordinary change in myself. Not that there has not been any. Losing faith in yourself is unbelievably easy and fast — you don’t even need any earth-shaking life events. Sometimes a seemingly small thing is enough.

The difference between a man and a woman
As I am sitting here writing this article on Father's Day, I am looking into myself - am I going to write about male and female (the relative polarities) or about genders - man and woman. My heart calls to write about man and woman, the gender of which we decided to take, in today's world, for this lifetime. I have started to feel in myself more and more the difference, and with that difference, also feel the urge to take more responsibility as a man. One part of taking the r

Surrendering and Meeting My Challenges
A little over a month ago, I moved into a new home. This new place is the childhood dream coming true, and yet I found myself struggling to adjust. The city is now a 20-minute drive away — meaning even the grocery store is no longer just around the corner. When I step outside, there’s no need to grab my keys or lock the door; stepping outside itself is just a single step. And although the house is familiar to me, being here full-time is still different from just spending week

Longing to Go Deeper
I sit on a stone and scrape gravel with a small shovel. Buckets fill up quickly, and they are heavy. The frequent drizzle adds to the burden. The men carry them, groaning. They give us smaller containers—time and space shift. I feel as if I am in another place, wordless, deep in thought, full of questions.
It is fascinating to look at time – the ages that appear in the soil layer by layer. Something crumbles, something glimmers, and something smells different, harsh, and c

Today is the first day of the rest of your life
"Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Irrespective of how badly we may have screwed up yesterday, or last week, or last year, today is the day on which we are going to put the past behind us, not in the sense of brushing it under the carpet, but in the sense of not allowing it to keep making us miserable."

Remembering Mother
The last years with my mother, when I consciously allowed her into my life and allowed myself to feel like a daughter, our relationship changed. It became one of mutual respect; we were equals. Two grown women, and both of us were mothers. She had time, because she could no longer hurry anywhere or go off to do her own things—she was bedridden. It was just her and me. Mother and daughter. She spoke and I listened. I asked and she shared.

Consciously waiting
Waiting can easily become a passive state. We get stuck in one moment, postponing actions and movement toward our dreams, postponing even our own self-care. As if there’s no point in doing anything else until “that thing” has happened. But what I realized in that moment last week is this: such waiting is a form of self-victimization. Without even noticing, I had trapped myself.
